it's 11pm and I'm writing this tired. Day 52.

today was supposed to be the rehearsal. 3.5 hours of silence. the halfway mark before tomorrow's 7-hour attempt of EXTREME nothing. To reset our brains.

In today’s smartphone age, everyone needs this, no one does it. Since the last 15 years.

but it didn't happen…

I spent the day fighting technical problems. recording software not working. livestream setup failing. lost my AI conversation history.

hours of troubleshooting that led nowhere. by the time I cleared enough space to attempt the silence session, it was late.

so I'm being honest with you: day 6 didn't go as planned.

livestream is not gonna work for 7 AM tomorrow… we can’t do it together…BUT!

why I'm telling you this

because this is what real skill-building looks like. it's not a clean progress line. it's not "day 1 good, day 2 better, day 3 breakthrough, day 4 perfect."

it's messy.

some days the universe cooperates and you get three hours of silence that rewire your brain. other days you spend eight hours fighting software and fall into bed exhausted with nothing to show for it.

another skill is… showing up tomorrow. DESPITE the struggle.

what I learned this week so far

even without today going to plan, look at what happened in 5 days:

day 1: 1 hour. survived. day 2: 2 hours. brain fought hard.

day 3: 3 hours. something broke open. felt calm for the first time in years. day 4: 1 hour of deep meditation. compressed the same clarity into less time.

day 5: 1 hour of meditation. day 6: today. technical chaos. no silence session. just reality.

and tomorrow: I try the 7 hours.

tomorrow is still happening!

the livestream setup isn't perfect. honestly, I'm not sure everything will work smoothly. but the challenge was never about production quality. it was about sitting in a room with nothing and seeing what happens.

so that's what I'm doing. 7 hours. starting tomorrow morning.

if I can figure out the tech, you'll be able to join live and sit in silence with me. if not, I'll record what I can and share everything after.

either way, the attempt happens.
