there are only 3 things that matter for a good life.

I figured this out after 8 weeks of learning a new skill every week. the same pattern kept showing up underneath everything. three pillars, in this order.

1. health. sleep, food, movement. not for looks. for energy. without energy, nothing else works. bad sleep ruined two full days of my coding week. good sleep was the biggest factor in doubling my arm strength.

every week, the lesson was the same: energy comes first.

2. internal stories. once you have energy, the next thing blocking you is what you believe.

"i'm not a coder." "i can't talk to strangers." "i'm not a camera person." I had all of these.

they were wrong every time. at -20°C on a mountain, the limit I imagined wasn't real. just my brain protecting me from something that wasn't dangerous.

your beliefs are your ceiling.

3. skills and community. when your body works and your mind isn't sabotaging you, you can actually do things.

learn guitar and make a room full of strangers sing. build a product and earn your first dollar. talk to an uber driver and hear his whole life story.

skills are the vehicle. but they only work if the first two pillars are solid.

health gives you energy. energy lets you rewrite your stories.

better stories let you DO THINGS. build skills.

skills let you impact people.

And have a community that makes life beautiful.

That’s it. It’s simple.

I wish someone had told me this at 20…

Watch the 30 min full video on the 21 lessons from the last 8 weeks.

-20°C cold exposure. learning Bulgarian. building an app. doubling my strength. talking to 50 strangers. learning guitar. launching a product. 7 hours of silence.

every lesson, every failure, the 3 patterns I didn't expect:

for Skill Week 9, camera confidence, DONE! :)

2 simple tips that actually work:

bring another person. when someone is behind the camera or on the call with you, your brain switches from "performing for a threat" to "talking to a human."

your voice relaxes. your face relaxes. you sound like yourself again.

move your body. walk while you talk. movement breaks the freeze response.

your nervous system relaxes with the movement. this is why you're more articulate on a phone call while pacing than sitting stiff in front of a webcam.

you pick week 10

I don't know what skill is next. so you decide.
