When is the last time you tried something new?

I ask in front of 32 curious people at 10:47 AM, Saturday, in Italy.

She raised her hand, lovely lady, around 50 years old: “I NEVER did public speaking! But I tried it the first time last week”

I smile: “how about trying the second time? Join me on the stage! :) “

Complete energy change. Smiling, happy, excited!

I love that!

so when is the last time YOU tried something new?

today I will share 3 useful, unusual things to help you.

Because the 53skills.com idea is that life is not what you THINK. Life is what you DO!

1. Whistle! week 34 (failed)

yep, did NOT manage. I almost fainted trying to use my fingers to do a LOUD whistle.

And that’s okay.

What matters is that I tried. In the end it was not that important that specific skill for me.

After 7 days of trying and testing, I dropped it.

But I had fun, made my week unique. No IT guy practices whistling.

So think about it: what is a little thing that can make your week unique?

You don’t have to be AMAZING, just be different and have fun.

And also: what do you need to DROP? what is NOT so important?

2. pen spinning! (week 35)

One of our unique features is… OUR FINGERS!

We can do so many amazing things with them. But you have to train them.

Our mobility and dexterity.

This was a fun one.

Lesson: small things can put you into focus.

You can always find 5 minutes to practice.

A pen, or a paper, or a coin.

Because I want you to keep your hands and fingers fast and capable.

It is one of our most precious gifts as humans.

3. Drawing! week 36

I feel ashamed. NOT for the reason you think.

YES, my drawings are bad 🙂

BUT why did not draw since 20 years?

I feel like modern society says that only kids can draw and have fun. So I never did it again as an adult for so many years…

But even if my drawing is bad, I still have fun and they make me and you smile so why should we not do it?

If you are 30 or 50 or 70 years old? If you are a lawyer, a doctor, a plumber?

All you need is a paper, a pencil and something funny, or simple or majestic to start.

Let your inner joy take you further. No one is watching.

Try it this week!
