Community Challenge 2/53: fluent in 1 week in a new language
I found out that if you want to learn faster and better and remember everything, you don't actually have to do anything!
The secret is: sleeping.
I watched a few Bulgarian videos on learning faster to practice my Bulgarian. And science agrees that you should learn in 1.5-hour sprints followed by 20 minutes of resting, doing absolutely nothing.
No phone.
and sleep. Getting quality sleep is incredibly important, which sounds like an easy thing to do right?
All you have to do is just go to sleep at 11:00 or midnight and then wake up at 8:00.
and your brain will take care of consolidating all those new words you're learning and all that knowledge…
…UNLESS you have food poisoning like I do today, so I slept like 2 hours.
Challenging day.
The other insight that I want to share with you is that studies show that taking creatine (the supplement to improve recovery at the gym) can also help with sleep deprivation.
So I will test this on myself before you try it out.
3 more days until Sunday: full day speaking only Bulgarian with locals.
P.S.: managed to give chocolate to the bakery granny :)
Thank you for being one of the first 100 neohumans to join this project.
