Community Challenge 3/52: 1 week to code an app
I have never built an app.
I don't know JavaScript. I don't know Python.
But this week I'm building an app. A real one. That you can use.
WHY?
Because coding is all around us, it makes your apps, your phone, your car, your future robots, your mobile banking.
Here's the plan:
I'm using Claude Code.
It's an AI tool where you describe what you want in plain English and it writes the code for you.
No tutorials. No courses. No 6 months of learning basics.
Just me, AI, and 7 days.
what am I building?
An app for this community. For you.
A fun tracker where you can:
Pick which skill you're learning this week (with me or by yourself)
Check off your daily progress
See your streak
See how the community is doing
I want to see 100 neohumans tracking their progress together.
I will use this for myself too.
will it work?
No idea.
I've never done this.
The app might be ugly. It might break.
It might not exist by Sunday.
Week 1 taught me discipline.
Week 2 taught me that limits are just stories WE make.
Week 3: let's see if a non-coder can build an app in 7 days.
Day 1 starts now.
What feature would YOU want in a 53skills app? Reply and tell me. I might build it.
PS: know someone who wants to learn coding? share this: 53skills.com
If you missed week 2, HERE are the 7 lessons for language learning.
